“Even for people like me who had the constituent files, this should be considered a must-have, a book that every DM should own. This book is a hot contender for my top ten no. 1-spot of 2014, gets a 5 star + seal of approval and while I’m at it – every DM should own this: It’s hereby declared an Endzeitgeist Essential-book for DMs. Players, if your DM doesn’t own this, get it for him/her – they’ll be happy and your gaming experience will improve significantly while traveling – I guarantee it.”

“One thing I haven’t mentioned is the layout and graphic design of Raging Swan books. They are beautiful in their simplicity. Clean white pages, small print, simple layout and small amounts art that suggest rather than locks you in an image. And this one has better bookmarks.”

–Stipe K (five stars)

“Overall, this is a highly useful product for GM’s running an outdoor campaign.”

–Itchy (five stars)

“Wilderness Dressing” is still one of the best RPG supplements I’ve ever read and should be required GM material for every campaign. I know my games have improved dramatically because of it. If you have the money for this, buy it. If you don’t have the money for this, figure out a way to get it. If you’re not a GM, gift it to your GM. He’ll love you forever. In short, if you play Pathfinder, buy this book. I promise it’s worth it.”

–Whack a Rogue (five stars)

“Like the Dungeon Dressing compilation, well worth its weight in gold. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.”

“Worth purchasing and worth using. Your players will thank you for it! :)”

System Neutral Edition

This edition of GM’s Miscellany: Wilderness Dressing presents all the great flavour and descriptions found in the Pathfinder edition of the book, but removes all the Pathfinder terminology. So, for example there is no mention of DCs, Knowledge checks, Perception checks and so on in this book! A few sections had to be removed wholesale. These includes the sample encounters and stat blocks as these were so mechanics heavy.

We removed these details so the GM can easily, simply and quickly use the book in conjunction with virtually any fantasy roleplaying game.

  1. Hi I am a fan of Johnn Fours and he sent me an email saying that you and he had each decided to offer a free volume to the other set of fans. I am supposed to get the system-neutral GM’s Miscellany: Wilderness Dressing. However, I can’t find where to go to get it. I would like to look at it because, if it lives up to expectations, I will be getting more of your books.

    Please help.

    • Hi Tom!

If you log into your Patreon page and hit the Home tab you should see Johnn’s post about GM’s Miscellany: Wilderness Dressing. The book is attached to that post as a zip file near the top of the page. Happy reading–I hope you enjoy the book!
